About Me

I am a composer and woodwind specialist based in Manhattan, New York. I graduated from the University of North Florida in 2022 with a Bachelor's in woodwind performance, and I'm currently attending Manhattan School of Music for my master's degree in composition. As a composer, I'm interested in the intuitive feelings that underpin all genres and mediums of art. My work places a major-- but not exclusive-- emphasis on microtonality in extended just intonation.

Alone with our madness and favorite flower
We see that there really is nothing left to write about.
Or rather, it is necessary to write about the same old things
In the same way, repeating the same things over and over
For love to continue and be gradually different.

— excerpt from “Late Echo” by John Ashbury
